Beauty of Belgaum

"The world is thorn in the eye of thorn, the world is flower in the eye of flower."-Nepal song lyric.
Question: "So what is the world? Thorn or Flower? Our Mind or Nothing?"

Few months back when I first travel to India via aeroplane, I peeked out the airplane window, and saw bare land and sparse tree. Little did I know that it was drought season. But since then, I had this wrong idea in my mind that India is a very infertile and futile land.

HOW WRONG I WAS!!!

How can the Infertile and Futile land that I thought can produce such VAST agriculture product ranging from sweet dates to mesmerizing mangoes!? Even the sun sweetened grape(refer last picture)!!?

Agricultural product of all kind of climate!
Desert, Tropical, Cold, You name it, India has it!

Dates~ RM7/kg here...
I think it's considered as expensive for the local as I always get the 'foreigner' price from the road side stall.

Round Rumani Mangoes~RM3.50/kg...
Sweet!!! My room mate told me it tasted somehow similar to white mango in Malaysia.

This eye opener trip together with Dr.Tanuj, Mr.Prasad and Dr.Sikha showed me many of the beautiful places in Belgaum.
Dr.Tanuj invited me to some very special place in Belgaum that I keep on forgetting its' name.
Let me immortalize those name here before it evaporates from my mind again...
"Desur Fort and Boothnath hill."

From left to right: Dr.Sikha, Dr.Tanuj & Mr.Prasad

On our way to the destination, we saw baby puppies strayed in the middle of the road.
We stopped to shift them to the road side and Dr.Sikha decided to bring two home.(Her new pet!)
This browny guy, he got an caucasian name...
Which again,I forgot...hehe

For this guy, he'll be named Fufu!

We stopped at a small grocery shop in the middle of nowhere to buy some cookies for them and they seems to like it. Dr.Sikha bought glucose cookies and two of them have a good nice sleep throughout the journey.

This is our first destination,
The Desur Fort
The weather was nice, but a bit windy(woohoo I like it!)

On our way up to the fort!

People with height phobia like me and my room mate(I think) would pee in our pants if we're in the position like Dr.Tanuj here.
by the way, Ryan was not around this time as it was sunday and he had to go to church.
His cousin Jude just arrived Belgaum few days back, so like a big brother, Ryan will bring Jude and his friend to the church for sunday mass for the first time.

The picturesque view of Belgaum.
Belgaum is so green!!
Houses and cars are like small match box from our view.
And the height that we're sitting at is SCARY!!

Three of them somehow manage to persuade me to join them sitting at the edge of the fort, and once I made it, a Rainbow appear!!!
(Whoa~How dramatic!!! hahahaha...)

Mr.Prasad

Dr.Tanuj

The Fort

I presume this box is for canon or some weapons...
It's empty now.

It was really windy and the air is really humid and cold. It reminds me of cameron highland during rainy season.
It's rainy season here in Belgaum!!

The weather was nice, and the view was AMAZING!!

The Edge!

This is scary!

We walked along the fort and it finally came to an end.

After we snapped some picture, we move on to our next destination~ Boothnath hill.

Boothnath Hill
As soon as we reached the hill, the rain started to fall. It's a small one though.

Afterward, the arch of rainbow started to shimmering across the sky.

Like the arch of our smile too~
Thanks Dr.Sikha for the pretty picture of rainbow!

We saw some people cleaning the stagnant water accumulated on the hill.
People litter rubbish inside. =C

The view is more greener after the rain!

Imagination: A doggy and a piglet/dolphin.

On this beautiful hill and stunning view, we had some veg curry chips sandwich and banana cake prepared by Dr.Sikha.

Cold breeze, nice view with just sufficient amount of sunlight radiating~
I could have just spent my night there...

After the cold windy spa of mountain air, Mr.Prasad treat us with warm mouth watering soup at Niyaaz!

A bit of gossip: Although the main attraction of this Niyaaz branch is pick and pack(take away), they do have well decorated dining hall.
BUT WITHOUT A DECENT WASHROOM!!!
Or you may say without a washroom!
However, the meal was nice. =D

After we had our soup, they fetch me to Dr.Carvalho's house to meet Ryan.

It was an amazing trip. It is really and eye opener for me to see more of the beauty of Belgaum.
At least I'll go back to Malaysia with something special aside My college and Maruti Gali(market) as image of Belgaum.

Belgaum, A Beautiful City.
